Step by Tap
About
This project aims to spread the art-form of tap dancing to audiences beyond the stage, blending it with jazz and Brazilian popular music and presenting it in common spaces throughout the city. It was probably thanks to this project that I was able to reach a certain level of expertise in improvisation and audience interaction.
The band "Step by Tap" put me in unusual situations, where the space or its acoustics were not favorable to tap dancing. It was always challenging to keep the performance level high for the audience in these conditions, often over two hours. However, it was precisely for this reason that I acquired a vast experience in creating a relationship with the audience through improvisation.
