Distorção

DISTORÇÃO is an artistic investigation project selected for the 2021 Aldir Blanc grant. The project seeks to experiment and explore tap dancing beyond the traditional technique. In this process, the goal is to expand the corporal development in practice, affirming and attributing it to the expression of dance. Directed by Adilso Machado, the project was born out of the moment I realized how unsatisfied I was with the dance I was bringing to my life, to the places I performed at and even to the way I teach as a dance instructor. It comes to mess with the way I was acting up until then. The name wasn’t random, we make a distortion of the path I followed up until now.
